Farming concerns the cultivation of both crops and livestock. The farming set will have its own series of buildings, including for instance a farmyard and pasture, with a new farming tab in the buildings menu. The farmyard and pasture can be built on soil, a new type of building ground, with another set of NPC buildings; the mill, cook, butcher and alchemist, being built on normal building ground.
These buildings will function similarly to houses, with placeable livestock and crops instead of furniture. They will also have similar access rights to houses, with the farm owner able to designate access and usage/harvesting rights to their farm for different players.
The first details about the farming system in Albion Online have been revealed on the official site. According to the team, farming is being added as a double bonus for players: It is a place for a get away from the brutality of PvP and it offers a place to craft consumables that help with healing. Players will be able to raise crops and livestock and have the ability to create consumables in a wide range of types.
